I thought "Milk" was the best movie that was nominated but not up to the caliber of previous winners.  To me, the foreign movie nominations of 2007, "Pan's Labyrinth," "Water," "The Lives of Others," "After the Wedding" and "Army of Shadows" were about the best movies in decades.
